October Adaptat a Pego 2022 is the name given to the initiative promoted by the Pegolina Department of Sports. A series of conferences dedicated to making functional diversity visible within the global framework of sport. With the aim of understanding this field as a sports learning tool, but also in the field of education and daily life, numerous activities have been prepared from October 10 to 25 to achieve the goal.

Renowned athletes such as David Casinos, Héctor Cabrera, Kike Siscar, among others, will be the protagonists of the conference. "We want adapted sports to be the real protagonist this month," emphasizes the Councilor for Sports, Raül Tamarit. The objectives of these conferences are to make adapted sport and inclusive physical activity visible to society, especially in the educational and sports fields; increase knowledge about adapted sport; increase the participation, both of people with functional diversity, and the rest of society, with the different sports modalities, and give great recognition to people with functional diversity both for the results obtained and for the participation in national and international sports competitions. international.

"Education is one of the fundamental pillars of these conferences," says Tamarit, "which is why we want them to be learning opportunities for municipal school students, as well as for teachers, coaches, and athletes of all ages." These conferences have the economic collaboration of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, through the Grants for the execution of unique projects in the field of sport and physical activity.

October Programming Adaptat a Pego

The programming is divided into different areas of action. Thus, in the educational section, on October 10, 11, 17, 18 and 24 there will be a series of adapted sports sessions dedicated to students and organized by the Federation of Adapted Sports of the Valencian Community. These will take place in the morning in the Ausiàs March pavilion.

In the sports field, on October 16 some adapted raspall games have been organized, it will be at 12 noon in Pere Sala street at 12 noon, after the games of the Escola de Pilota and the Club de Pilota Valenciana de Pego . On Sunday, October 23, from 10 a.m. to 14 p.m., different sports workshops will be held for all citizens, such as paratriathlon, boccia, slalom or goalball, among others. An appointment where the renowned athlete David Casinos will be present.

In the 'sports field' section, the last of the scheduled events will take place on November 14, 21, 28 and 4. These are outings to the Marjal de Pego as well as different social and sports activities with people with functional diversity from the Occupational Workshop and the Obrint Camí association.

Regarding the informative section, a telematic training session has been scheduled, 'Adapted sports teaching in the classroom', by Núria Caus (director of the IES la Creueta d'Onil and specialist in adapted sports), Tuesday, October 11 at 18:18 p.m. On Tuesday, October 18, also at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the second telematic training will be held, 'Promotion of sport in associations for people with functional diversity'; by the Federation of Adapted Sports of the Valencian Community.

On Tuesday, October 25 at 18:XNUMX p.m., the third telematic training session will be held, "Inclusive sport in physical activity sessions, both in the classroom and in sports training", also by the Federation of Adapted Sports of the Community Valencian.

Finally, on October 28 at 18.30:XNUMX p.m. in the plenary hall of the City Council, the XNUMXst Congress of Adapted Sports and inclusive sports activities will take place in Pego, where, in addition to David Casinos and Núria Caus, Julio Cortés will also participate.

Pre-registration is required for all training sessions and the conference.
