Pedreguer unanimously approved in the last ordinary plenary session of February, held yesterday, the participation of the municipality in the call for aid from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) in 2024 for the execution of actions in the Les Galgues Industrial Estate.
These actions include improvements in security through the installation of video surveillance cameras, improvements in sustainability with the creation of green areas and drip systems, provision of a parking area for trucks next to the ecopark with sanitation and signage, expansion of the bike lane with 195 meters of dual circulation road, as well as the replacement and expansion of hydrants for fire prevention throughout the polygon, along with the drafting of projects and construction management, among other measures. The total cost of these actions amounts to 525.195,57 euros, VAT included, which will be requested through the aforementioned help line.
In addition, two more agreements were reached unanimously. On the one hand, the extension of the II Pedreguer Equality Plan 2024-2026, and on the other, a motion presented by Compromís to declare the year 2024 as Any Estellés, in commemoration of the centenary of the writer's birth.
All municipal groups agreed to declare the year 2024 as Any Estellés, with the aim of promoting an agenda of activities from the Culture Area aimed at vindicating and promoting the figure of the author, coordinated with entities dedicated to his memory, strengthening the already traditional Festival Estellés that has been celebrated in the municipality for more than 10 years. Furthermore, the creation and facilitation of didactic and educational resources on the work of Estellés in educational centers and municipal libraries is proposed, urging the Consell de la Generalitat to declare the Estellés year and organize a cycle of activities with the participation of all institutions and entities involved.
The plenary session also approved the first proposal for extrajudicial recognition of 2024 credits for a value of 32.691,56 euros, corresponding to expenses committed this year without the contract tender. This proposal was approved with the votes in favor of Compromís, the abstention of the PP and the vote against the PSOE. The expenses included in this proposal are legal fees, computer system maintenance, cleaning products, office supplies, animal maintenance, among others.
