The City Council of Pedreguer, thanks to the framework agreement of the Diputación de Alicante, was able to close an electricity supply contract with very competitive fixed prices. According to the council, comparing the current prices of the contract they have with the prices of the electricity market, it can be verified that in Pedreguer they are saving about 200.000 euros in the annual energy budget.
Another milestone highlighted by the City Council is environmental awareness. With this, it has been possible for all public lighting centers in Pedreguer to use electricity from renewable sources. In terms of emissions, the municipality is helping to avoid emitting more than 160.000 kg of CO2 per year into the atmosphere.
On the other hand, energy management has also been digitized and automated through software that helps automate the receipt of energy bills. This has made it possible to digitize all the supplies in a single tool.
In addition, another functionality that the tool allows is the review and automatic validation of the energy bills received by the city council. In this way, possible errors are detected and the corresponding companies are claimed.
Additionally, it also allows energy data to be obtained to request information, carry out analyzes or forecast future expenses. All this based on the historical data stored in the application.
Finally, according to municipal sources, the council "is managing to position itself as a benchmark in energy management, awareness and sustainability, although there is still a lot of work to be done to create a better planet to live in".
