From the government team we want to congratulate the commission for the fantastic parties that they have made us enjoy and join the list of thanks that they have published.
And for the part that touches us, we also want to value the great work done by municipal workers and municipal concessions (cleaning bonus, works brigade, workers from the assigned municipal spaces, protocol and management of various and safe permits and those who attend to various complaints and queries at the counter), coordinated by the Department of Fiestas, civil protection, the local police (which in addition to the party reinforcements are three agents as directors of festivities, and who also manage the previous and the festive consequences -deaths, accidents, complaints, etc.), cultural and sports associations (many of the acts they carry out at parties are carried out thanks to the different agreements they have with the city council), and, this year, again , in volunteers and volunteers who with the purple backpack have guarded against sexist violence (organized from the council's department of equality of the city council) and purple points with professionals provided by the city council.
And many thanks, of course, to the citizens of Pedrera, who, among other things, contribute 133.000 euros to the commission (which it manages completely independently) fixed plus different extras around 20.000 euros more (expenses that will be specified and made public so that people know how they spend their money), to pay for things like extra payments to iberdrola, safety reports on bullfighting facilities, portable toilets, press advertising, billboard rental, sand for the castle, tow truck, oxen, assembly of corral and cage of the cordà, rockets of the cordà... among others, such as the overtime of the police or the payment of the directors of festivities.
The intention on the part of the department of finance of our city council, to comply with the transparency measures that citizens deserve and avoid speculation, is to make public in the near future the breakdown of these expenses as well as the one that is collected for the rent of boxes, for advertising in
the party book and for everything organized by the commission, expenses managed directly by the commission.
