Program of the Festivities of the Rose of Poble Nou de Benitatxell 2023

Poble Nou de Benitatxell once again welcomes one of its best-known popular festivals, the Festes de la Rosa. A celebration long awaited by the town every year. The town meeting will take place from May 4 to 14, 2023 with the festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Rosa.

Event: Thursday May 4st

• 19:30 p.m. Holy Mass and then Triduum to the Virgen de la Rosa.
• 19:30 p.m. Presentation of the X Puig Llorença Research Award Social Center.

Friday May 5

• 19:30 p.m. Holy Mass and then Triduum to the Virgen de la Rosa.

Saturday May 6

• 11:00 hours Story Laboratory in the Municipal Library.
• 11:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. Popular games and Carousel in the parking lot of the Mercat.
• 12:00 p.m. General ringing of bells.
• 18:30 hours Parade and collection of the festeras by the festeros, accompanied by the Santa María Magdalena Municipal Music Group from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
• 19:15 p.m. Gathering in the Oratory of all the participants in the Flower Offering.
• 19:30 p.m. Holy Mass and then Triduum to the Virgen de la Rosa.
• 19:45 p.m. Offering of flowers to the Virgen de la Rosa, accompanied by the Colla la Llebetjà and the Agrupación Musicomunicipal Sta. María Magdalena del Poble Nou de Benitatxell. While the offering is being made, there will be a sample of traditional dances by Grup de Danses Morro Falquí in the Plaza de la Iglesia.
• 00:00 hours Dance night on Calle La Pau enlivened by the La Fiesta orchestra.

Sunday May 7

• 08:00 a.m. Wake up in charge of the festeros and festeras.
• 10:30 a.m. Collection of the festeras by the festeros accompanied by the Santa María Magdalena del Poble Nou de Benitatxell Music Association.
• 11:00 a.m. Departure from Pans Benets from the Oratory to the Church.
• 11:30 p.m. Holy Mass in honor of the Virgen de la Rosa sung by the Parish Choir. At the end of the blessed loaves they will be distributed through the streets of the town, accompanied by the Colla la Llebetjà and the Santa María Magdalena Municipal Music Association of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.

• 20:00 p.m. Solemn procession in honor of the Virgen de la Rosa, San Pancracio Mártir and San Luis. At the end, a bouquet of fireworks will be shot in the Portalet.
• 00:00 Music in the festive house.

Monday May 8

• 08:00 a.m. Wake up in charge of the festeros and festeras.
• 11:00 am Children's park in La Pau Street.
• 11:00 a.m. Collection of the festeros by the festeras accompanied by the charanga.
• 12:00 pm Mass in honor of San Pancracio Martyr And at the end presentation of the mayors of San Pancracio on the balcony of the City Hall where they will dictate the rules of the costume.
• 13:00 p.m. Cock racing on La Pau Street.

• 14:00 p.m. Giant Paella in Calle Mayor and La Pau. It will be distributed among the tables on c/ la Pau and Mayor. The City Council will make tables and chairs available.
• 16:00 p.m. Cau Championship at the Community Center. First prize 60 euros, second prize 40 euros and third prize 20 euros.
• 18:00 p.m. Performance by Toni Català on the street La Pau.

Tuesday May 9

• 19:00 hours Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres and a bull at the points of the La Paloma ranch.

Wednesday May 10

• 19:00 hours Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres and bull at the tips of the hermandad cattle ranch.

Event: Thursday May 11st

• 19:00 hours Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres and a bull on points from the Jesús Asensi ranch.

Friday May 12

• 19:00 hours Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres and a bull at the points of the Benavent ranch. will be offered below dinner at popular prices by the Peña Taurina.
• 19:30 p.m. Presentation of the book The Cova de les Bruixes of Poble Nou de Benitatxell and the archeology by Miquel Sánchez i Signes, IX Puig Llorença Research Award, at the Social Center.
• 23:30 p.m. Release of heifers and bull in tips of the Els Coves Livestock.

Saturday May 13

• 08:00 a.m. Wake up in charge of the festeros and festeras.
• 10:30 am Informal parade accompanied by the Charanga Toca't un ou.
• 12:30 p.m. Cucañas for the little ones in La Pau street.
• 14:00 p.m. Paella contest on Calle Mayor and La Pau. With three prizes for the best paellas, the first for 100 euros, the second for 75 euros and the third for 50 euros.
• 17:00 p.m. Costume parade with departure from the festive house through the streets of the town.
• 18:00 p.m. Discomobile Karakatoa in La Pau Street.
• 19:30 p.m. The festeros and festeras will distribute sandwiches for all those who comply with the rules issued by the Mayor of San Pancracio.

Sunday May 14

• 11:30 hours Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres and a bull on points from the La Hermandad ranch. will be offered below food at popular prices by the Peña Taurina.
• 19:00 hours Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres and bull at the tips of the Hermanos Cali cattle ranch.
