The Department of Equality and Inclusive Policies has responded to the request of the Pedreguer city council to include the extension of the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Residence within the CONVIVINT Plan of Social Services Infrastructures of the Generalitat. And in addition, it has announced that it will also create a Center for Functional Diversity in the municipality.
Today, April 15, the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, and the Vice Presidency, Mónica Oltra, have presented this new Plan that has been created to reverse the historical lack of social services infrastructures in the Region.
As explained by the Pedreguer city council, the Plan has been developed following a series of criteria such as the need for social services resources (waiting lists, population projection ...) or territorial equity so that all the population has the same rights of access. In short, the aim is to improve the response of social services in home help, telecare and infrastructure.
In addition, with the construction of a new Center for Functional Diversity, Pedreguer will be a benchmark in the region in improving the lives of people with functional diversity.
The CONVIVINT Plan will involve an investment of 561 million with 247 actions planned between 2021 and 2025 throughout the Valencian Community. In addition, as explained by the Generalitat, 6.600 public places will be created and 3.500 direct jobs will be generated.
