In the ordinary session of the Ondara City Council, held last Thursday, November 30, all points on the agenda were unanimously approved, with the exception of an extrajudicial recognition of credits in which the Popular Party chose to abstain.
Among the points approved unanimously, the approval of the work project for the construction of the House of Music and Performing Arts. This project, subsidized by the Alicante Provincial Council, will be located on a municipal plot of 1.160 square meters in the urban area of Tossals. The building, with two floors and a total area of 530 square meters, will expand the space of the Aulari de Música, where musical lessons are taught in the town. The base budget for the execution of the work is 997.700 euros with a completion period of 14 months.
ITV Motion: "This region needs a working ITV station"
The plenary session also unanimously approved a motion on the operation of the Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) of the region, located in Ondara. This motion, already approved by the City Council of Dénia, urges the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism to take immediate measures so that the ITV works properly. It was reported that the ITV station does not have appointments available for November and December, nor for the month of January, creating problems for users of the service: "This region needs an ITV station that works and that appointments can be obtained quickly." was claimed during the plenary session.
Another of the points approved was the Modification of the Ordinance regulating Citizen Coexistence in the Public Space of Ondara to adapt it to the new Animal Welfare Law. In addition, it was approved to entrust the sanctioning procedure of this ordinance to SUMA to speed up the procedures.
In the economic sphere, a modification of credits was unanimously approved that includes transfers to different budget items, highlighting the allocation of funds for the improvement of roads, the creation of a new parking lot, the renovation of the sports center's boiler and administrative procedures for ADDITION. The Popular Party expressed its agreement with the allocation of funds for the new parking lot.
Three municipal plans approved
In addition, three municipal plans were unanimously approved: the Municipal Territorial Emergency Plan, the Municipal Action Plan against the Risk of Forest Fires and the Municipal Action Plan against the Risk of Floods. Likewise, the modification of the Internal Regime Regulations of the Municipal Nursery School was provisionally approved to adapt it to the regulatory changes.
Out of urgency, the motion of November 25, presented by the Department of Equality, was unanimously approved, in which the rejection of violence against women was expressed and the commitment of the Ondara City Council against sexist violence was reaffirmed.
