In line with the sustainability and ecology initiatives within the 2030 Agenda at the municipal level, the councilor and representative of the Agenda 2030 area in the Ondara City Council, Jordi Dominguis, also CEO of SINMA, the municipal public waste management company and street cleaning, presented the Environmental Education Day poster today on the live program on municipal radio with the resident of Ondara, Judith Leiton. Leiton, who through citizen activism promoted the garbage collection day in La Alberca last November.
According to Jordi Dominguis, the importance of reclaiming the values of January 26 lies in the need to work on environmental awareness through the media and also through the different channels of the administration so that we are all aware of our role in cleaning. and care of the environment. For her part, Judith Leiton highlighted the role of society in this type of actions aimed at collective civic awareness.
Dominguis announced the organization of a new call for next Sunday, February 11, continuing with the neighborhood cleaning initiative promoted in 2023. Although the location of the action has yet to be determined, all interested parties can register by sending an email to jordidominguis@ondara .org and also in the Entry Registry of the Ondara City Council. In this new action, SINMA will collaborate by providing cleaning materials (gloves, special bags, etc.), and breakfast will be provided to the participants.
These actions are part of the work program initiated last fall by the Department of Agenda 2030 and the public company SINMA, with the aim of encouraging better waste management and public hygiene.
