Today, October 25, the Local Commerce Day is commemorated, a date established in the calendar to give visibility and value local commerce. And this year, at El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, there are extra reasons to celebrate. After months of efforts, the Poble Nou de Benitatxell Merchants Association.
This Monday, the board of directors, made up of Juan Carlos Vallés (president), Víctor Martínez (vice president), Verónica Catalá (secretary) and Inma Soler (treasurer), presented the association to the public, whose objective, as stated by its President, Juan Carlos Vallés, is "to promote the small businesses of the municipality through a common front." They were accompanied by the Councilor for Commerce, Mayte Roldán.
According to Vallés, the initiative was born as a result of the pandemic, when merchants realized the importance of being organized to face the consequences of the virus and adapt to changes.
The association starts with 19 associated businesses, but they hope to add establishments. After its official creation, a promotional action is already being planned next November. In addition, once the bases have been laid, they expect to carry out different actions such as fairs, campaigns, raffles, etc. practically every month of the year to stimulate commercial activity and encourage the flow of customers.
