The Club d'Atletisme Cametes celebrates a new edition of the Vila de Pedreguer Popular Race, with many novelties and surprises on its 30th anniversary next Saturday, May 13.
At five in the afternoon with the children's races, the thirtieth anniversary of the Vila de Pedreguer Popular Race will kick off, with a good number of boys and girls to enjoy and fill the Plaza Mayor with small runners in the athletics festival .
An influx of more than 2.000 participants is expected, divided into the children's events that cover the categories of prebarrufets to youth, the queen race and also Pedreguer has the non-competitive Race that reaches its majority with the eighteenth edition that will start minutes later from the start of the main test of the Circuit.
CA Cametes has unveiled one of the novelties. For this occasion, the layout of the 10K race will have 50% urban and the same percentage will pass through the rural area known to all, as usual there will be no shortage of animation points, which together with the neighbors and companions of the runners scattered along the route will push the participants towards the finish line, part of the route has also been decked out for the occasion and decorated with paper flags hung on the street.
The Center Artístic music band, Els Traginers and the Batucada Katuba, spread over different areas, join the party on Saturday, with their musical notes.
The winners of the XXIX Cursa Popular Vila de Pedreguer were the CA Llebeig athlete in girls Xàbia María Isabel Ferrer, with a time of 36:44, and in boys Jordi Ripoll (CA Dènia Corre), was the absolute winner of the queen event, performing in a time of 32:15.
Cloakroom and bicycle service has been provided in the finish area. The showers for after the tests will be at the Municipal Soccer Field, located 1 km from the finish area.
