The renowned chef from Moraira Rafa Soler, with a Michelin star at his restaurant Audrey's in Calp, has recently been at a very special event at the Leonardo restaurant in the grand Hotel Stella Di Mare in Dubai. There he joined for a day the team of the restaurant's head chef, Marco Blanquer, a native of Dian who has lived in the United Arab Emirates for 10 years.
The objective of the meeting was to present the products of the Valencian Community and, in particular, of the Marina Alta to the Dianense team. Thus, the Moraira chef had the opportunity to teach new techniques and products to the hotel cooks, sharing his knowledge and experience in Valencian haute cuisine.
During the master class, the local cooks tried typical products of the region such as galleys, red and white prawns, eels and guirra breed lamb.
A meeting full of success where the Dianense Marco Blanquer took the opportunity to announce that in April he will participate in the recording of a report on his personal and professional life with a Valencian television program. Blanquer has received important awards in recent years in his place of residence, such as the Best European Restaurant 2019 in Dubai or to have been nominated in The Best of Dubai Gastronomy 2022.
Furthermore, in December 2022, the chef of Dénia He signed a contract with Europa Ediciones to launch the publication of his biography, working closely with the publisher ever since. The chef, who despite being far from the land has "family and friends in his heart," he confessed, hopes to be able to present his next book in various places around the world, such as Dénia, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Frankfurt, Rome, Boston, New York or Mexico.
