L'Escola Municipal de Pilota d'Ondara achieved great results in its participation in the Alicante provincial final phase of the JECV Frontó Parelles held last Saturday in Beniarbeig.
The Ondarense team, coordinated by Juanma Garrido and trained by Arnau Oliver and Raül Blasco, achieved gold in the cadet category, silver in the youth category and bronze in the youngest category. For its part, the cadet team, being the provincial champion, played the autonomous final phase on Sunday, February 5 in Castelló, obtaining the autonomous bronze.
L'Escola Municipal de Pilota d'Ondara managed to reach the final provincial phase of Alicante de Frontó Parelles in three categories: youngest, with Guiu Vizuete and Vicent Molines who were playing for third place; cadet, with Arnau Mas and Dani Serra; and youth, with Àlex Serra and Andreu Mullor.
In two categories they opted for provincial gold, which the cadet couple finally achieved, beating Laguar, and thus obtaining the pass to the regional final. The youth couple lost to Laguar, obtaining silver, and the youngest won bronze against Gata de Gorgos. In the regional final, the Ondara cadet team lost the first game against El Puig, but won the second game against Vila-real, getting third place in the JECV region.
The Councilor for Sports, Mar Chesa has congratulated the members of L'Escola Municipal de Pilota d'Ondara and their coaches for the success of having reached the provincial and regional finals and the good results achieved.
