This Monday, workers and technicians from the Benitatxell City Council, the public company Poble Net, SVS, in charge of the rescue of the Moraig cove, and volunteers from Civil Protection have participated in the cleaning of the Cala dels Testos.
The images of this summer in the surroundings of the cove are "desolate, outrageous and shameful", they point out from the consistory. Some users of the beach have used it as a landfill, leaving, in addition to plastic waste and garbage, all kinds of items such as beach coolers, tables, chairs, camping bags, pillows, etc.
The garbage has had to be removed by sea with boats due to the difficult access of the cove.
"Please respect our sea and its environment. We ask users to avoid producing waste in our coves and that, once the beach day is over, they take their belongings and personal effects," they indicate on social networks.
