Juanan Fernández and María Isabel Ferrer absolute winners of the XI Cursa Popular Calp del Circuit a peu

The athlete Juanan Fernández from CA Benidorm emerged as the winner in the XI Cursa Popular Calp athletics race, completing the 9.400 meters in an impressive time of 30 minutes and 58 seconds. Fernández also stood out in the Veterans B category, securing his leading position in the competition. This race is included in the Circuit a peu Marina Alta started on February 25 in Xàbia.

The men's podium featured the outstanding performance of José David Moruno from SD Correcaminos, who achieved second place in the senior category with a time of 31 minutes and 5 seconds, followed by Antonio Soler from CA Llebeig Xàbia, who placed third. place with a time of 31 minutes and 27 seconds.

In the women's category, María Isabel Ferrer once again demonstrated her skill by crossing the finish line in first place, recording a time of 34 minutes and 16 seconds. Marta Pérez from the Cametes de Pedreguer Athletics Club and Marina Camps from CA Safor-Teika completed the women's podium.

The race attracted a large participation from clubs from all over the Valencian Community and beyond, with more than a thousand runners taking the start. The panoramic route allowed the runners to explore the Salt Flats, as well as the coastline of Playa de la Fossa and Playa del Bol, along with the archaeological remains of Los Baños de La Reina and the emblematic Peñón de Ifach.

The day also included competitions for young athletes in various categories, from Benjamin to Youth, with outstanding performances such as those of Lara Fornes Català and Ernest Garces in the Benjamin category, as well as Gemma Frances and Erik Amil in Alevín.
