The Vice President and Minister for Equality and Inclusive Policies, Aitana Mas, has announced an investment of 24 million euros for the construction of various social infrastructure projects in the Marina Alta within the Pla Convivint.
These are, as explained by the vice president, investments contemplated in the budgets of the Generalitat for the works of the second public residence for people over Dénia; the day center for the elderly in Xaló, Gata de Gorgos and Calpe or the residence for people with functional diversity in Pedreguer.
The vice president has indicated that the objective is to face the "deficit of public squares that the region has had for many years and that we have wanted to reflect with projects that we will develop until 2025 within the Pla Convivint".
Aitana Mas has visited the municipalities of La Vall de Laguar and Orba this morning, the latter accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, Isaura Navarro, where she has met with the workers of the municipalities to to know "how the social services of small and interior towns are working, questions or needs that they may have".
The vice president has valued the work of the social services of small municipalities that have a high percentage of older people who need "direct and close care by the municipalities", an issue that highlights the importance of the model contract program developed by the Ministry in recent years with the collaboration of the town halls”.

The vice-president has highlighted the financing of the Department of social services of the Marina Alta Commonwealth, to which she has allocated 1,13 million euros this year, an amount that multiplies by four the amount existing in 2015, which barely reached 257.000 euros .
With this, Aitana Mas has highlighted the importance of municipal investment in the staff modules financed by the Vice Presidency and Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies for basic primary care, which in the case of the Marina Alta Commonwealth increases from 4 to 33 workers and workers in the team of municipal professionals.
In La Vall de Laguar, the vice president has met with the mayor, Juan Carlos Mengual and the social services team and has visited the Fontilles Foundation.
Subsequently, and accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, Isaura Navarro, she has moved to the municipality of Orba, where they have been able to verify the operation of the door-to-door waste collection. They have also visited the Mud Museum.
