registrations, runners who have not been able to collect their bib number yet can do so from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the finish line and until 11:30 a.m. for children.
The event organized by the Club d'Atletisme Gata is celebrating its anniversary. They celebrate 25 years of Volta Popular, with departure and arrival in the Grup Escolar area.
The 9,6 kilometer route has a moderate difficulty, passing both at the beginning and at the finish through the center of the town, having its highest point in the Gata Residencial urbanization, descending next to the river, compensating and smoothing the race on the descent, entering again into the streets of Gata de Gorgos where the animation and encouragement of the people will push the runners until the finish.
The XXV edition of the Volta Popular a Gata is full of news, for the runners who meet in the Sunday morning, who have not wanted to reveal, what is sure there will be a lot of animation along the route, with performances by The Unió Musical de Gata, as well as the Colla de Xirimiters i Tabaleters el Montgó de Gata.
The Comissió de Festes 2024 will offer bar service and popular lunches to regain strength once the finish line has been crossed.
In the last edition, the supremacy of Mark Tanner (C.Vicky Foods Athletics) and Andrea Abad Aparisi (CA Publidom), with times of 32:10 and 36:54 were again the fastest in men and women.
At 12:00 hours and once the prizes of the Queen Test have been awarded, it will be time for the youngest ones with the children's races that range from Barrufets and Pre-Benjamín (tests not scored in the Circuit) to those of Benjamín to Juvenil which if they are eligible for the 26e Circuit a Peu Marina Alta 2024.
