The Marina Alta dawns with cloudy skies and strong gusts of wind that endanger the events of the weekend. This is why the State Meteorological Agency has activated the yellow alert on the northern coast of Alicante until 18:59 p.m. this afternoon.
The storm has brought wind from the southwest of 50 to 60 km/h, that is, force 7, and waves of between 2 and 3 meters, according to the entity's notice. The storm that sweeps the entire peninsula will leave widespread rain throughout the region and, in the region, it is expected that the precious precipitation will arrive at some point.
According to experts, the anticyclonic wind is causing temperatures to drop today, recovering the most wintery weather for a few hours. The AEMET prediction indicates that it will be from noon onwards when the storm intensifies, "with a storm and little rain", throughout the Marina Alta. On Sunday, however, the sun will return, although with cloudy intervals throughout the day.
