Last Sunday, April 24, the Puríssima Day, the big festival in Benissa, a traditional mascletà was held in the roundabout of Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres. Everything seemed to be going normally until one of the biggest firecrackers produced by the rockets resonated so much that it shattered the windows of a neighborhood balcony.
After the incident, a team of firefighters proceeded to seal off the affected area of the street due to the detachment of some fragments. Luckily, there were no injuries, but the specialist team had to be present at the house to remove the affected crystals.
The affected neighbors hope to receive some kind of response from the Benissa Town Hall. After the incident, they have not yet obtained any municipal solution.
