The “Flavours of the Sea” of the Marina Alta, the boost to regional gastronomy, comes to an end with resounding success

The “Flavours of the Sea” conference, held in the Marina Alta region, has concluded with resounding success, consolidating itself as an outstanding event in the regional gastronomic field. During the months of February and March, this meeting brought together 125 participants, including professionals from the hospitality sector and cooking enthusiasts, who were able to enjoy a unique experience around local maritime products.

Organized by Punt Nàutic and executed by Creama as technical secretariat of Pacte'MA, with the financial support of Labora through its Avalem Territori program, “Sabors de la Mar” was established as a platform to promote product excellence local maritime resources and promote sustainable practices in the restoration of the territory.

The event featured the participation of renowned chefs from the region, such as José Manuel Miguel, Rafa Soler, Nazario Cano, José Manuel López, Ferdinando Bernardi and Borja Susilla, all of them distinguished with Michelin stars. Through live culinary demonstrations, these chefs not only delighted the palates of attendees, but also imparted knowledge on the optimal use of local seafood products in contemporary cuisine.

The collaboration between various territorial entities and local companies was essential for the success of “Sabors de la Mar”. From the logistics provided by HostelBe to the contributions of the Fishermen's Guilds and the support of local City Councils, CDT, ADLs, and various associations and entities in the sector, this initiative demonstrated the power of collaboration to achieve extraordinary results.

In addition to its gastronomic aspect, these days highlighted the importance of opting for local and sustainable maritime products, highlighting their quality, freshness and their positive impact on the environment and local communities.
