The PSPV-PSOE of Calp has announced a proposed investment program for the 2024 Budget of the Generalitat Valenciana, focused on sustainable growth and improving the quality of life in the community.
“With the aim of strengthening community progress,” the party has outlined a series of projects that address key aspects such as employment, health care, education and the preservation of the municipality's historical-cultural heritage.
The socialist municipal group, through its spokesperson, Guillermo Sendra, urges the Generalitat Valenciana to include in the upcoming budgets a series of projects of regional competence, among which the creation of the Park of the Peñón de Ifach, the protection of Las Salinas, and improvements in areas of Social Welfare, Health and Education.
Among the proposed investments are:
- New Health Center and improvement of the Emergency Room on Levante Beach: The aim is to guarantee access to quality medical services for all residents, improving medical care conditions and providing a more effective response in emergency situations.
- Second institute: A project that has already been put out to tender and that is urged for inclusion within the budget allocation in order to guarantee a quality educational offer in the municipality.
- Rehabilitation of the Peñón de Ifach Chalet: The party intends to turn it into a Museum of the Pobla d'Ifac Site with the purpose of preserving the historical and cultural heritage, making it available to citizens for their enjoyment.
- Inclusion of the Peñón de Ifach as a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Recognize the value of the natural park, as well as increase its protection and maintenance for quality conservation for future generations.
- Musealization of the Queen's Baths: Creation of a cultural space to highlight and preserve this historical element, contributing to its educational and cultural dissemination.
- Improvement of the Las Salinas Natural Space: The implementation of improvements is proposed with the objective of preserving the biodiversity of the environment.
- Day Center for seniors: They try to meet the demands of seniors, proposing services and activities to improve their quality of life, covering their specific needs.
- Rehabilitation of the Interpretation Center 'Parque Natural Peñón de Ifach' for temporary exhibitions: They intend to position Calp as a reference place in terms of culture through a dynamic space that promotes citizen participation, promoting innovative cultural initiatives.
- Global Information Book of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park: An initiative that stands out in the uniqueness of the geological creation, as well as highlights the historical route and biodiversity of the natural park.
Guillermo Sendra, spokesperson for the municipal group PSPV-PSOE Calp and 2nd Deputy Mayor, wanted to highlight the party's commitment to "a project that aims for the comprehensive development of the town, maintaining a constructive and collaborative approach that contributes to the construction of a "Calp better."
