César Sánchez's PP wins in Calp, but Ana Sala would have the last word

Calp predicted some moving results, like his electoral campaign. With 100% scrutinized, in number of votes and councilors, the Popular Party, led by César Sánchez, would have won. The other right, that of Ana Sala, as a candidate for Somos Calpe, has obtained very high results, remaining as the second force with the most votes. The PP has obtained 2.262 votes and 8 councilors, while Somos Calpe 1.844 and 6.

The PP, for its part, does not have the desired absolute majority. Now the unknown lies in how the right will solve the next Calp government. Sánchez and Sala have been at war since the PPCV chose the former as a candidate, and both have agreed in interviews prior to the elections that they would not agree.

But the great defeat has been for the left bloc. For its part, the PSPV-PSOE has obtained 1.115 votes and three councilors, losing three compared to 2019. Compromís and Defendamos Calpe are both left with two councilors respectively. Despite the intentions of pre-election pacts, in the end they could not make a move from their position.
