The Popular Party of Pego has criticized the socialist government of the municipality for the unrest that, as they explain, the new measures of the municipal swimming pool have caused among the neighbors.
Between them, single-day classes, children's classes on Saturdays, and all infant classes have been removed. In addition, now the form of payment will be made quarterly and on Sundays the pool will be closed.
The popular explain that "the indoor pool is a service for the people and must meet their needs". In this sense, they defend that parents should be able to express their preferences for hours and days in a form and, based on this, that groups be created to meet the real needs of families.
These complaints have already been transferred to the Department of Sports. What's more, The PP proposes that the month of September be multi-sport and free for childrens, so that they can practice all sports before deciding on a specific one for the whole year. As well as maintaining that multi-sport school all year round for those who want their physical activity to be varied throughout the year.
