The Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ), has published the call for the campaign 'Viu la Solidaritat' in the modality of Youth Volunteer Camps for the year 2021, aimed at young residents of the Valencian Community, with which this solidarity activity in great demand among young people in the Region. Among the voluntary actions, Teulada-Moraira will have the activity for people from 18 to 30 years old, 'Small Illusions' from July 6 to 16.
According to the resolution published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana, fields are established in summer and fields in winter. In summer, the offer includes seven projects that will be developed in Manises Viver, Xàtiva and at the IVAJ youth facilities in Alcossebre and Teulada-Moraira.
This call is made in accordance with the safety and health measures and instructions in force in the Community "to advance necessary, safe and possible educational leisure activities", as explained by the general director of the IVAJ, Jesús Martí.
Youth volunteer camps are youth activities in which a group of young people from different origins commit themselves voluntarily and selflessly to the development of a work project with social content in favor of the community, combined with complementary activities of animation. Carrying out the project is a means to promote values of coexistence, tolerance, participation, solidarity and intercultural learning.
Regarding the exchange of places that had been carried out with other autonomous communities and with the International Voluntary Service, attached to the Youth Institute, which allows young Valencians to participate in national and international activities, It is suspended this summer due to the health crisis generated by COVID-19.
'Viu la Solidaritat' projects in summer
In order to provide young people with the possibility of participating in voluntary actions that allow them to develop their commitment to society, the IVAJ has summoned 135 places in the summer youth volunteer camps to carry out activities aimed at developing social projects of different modalities.
This summer 2021, 'Viu la Solidaritat' includes seven projects, of which three are for young people between the ages of 15 and 17: 'La Cuesta del Castillo', in Xàtiva, from July 19 to 31; 'El Prado', in Viver, from July 10 to 23, and 'Obradors', in Manises, from June 27 to July 11.
For adults, from 18 to 30 years old, there are four proposals: 'Cheer up', from July 18 to 27 in Alcossebre; 'Small Illusions', from July 6 to 16 in Moraira; 'Have fun I', in Alcossebre, from July 4 to 18 at the Jaume I camp, and 'Have fun II', from July 31 to August 15 at the La Marina de Teulada-Moraria hostel.
The list of places and projects in the youth volunteer camps in the Valencian Community will be exposed at least five days before the start of the registration process on the IVAJ website, see here.
The youth volunteer camps organized in the Valencian Community include the following services: accommodation, full board meals, training necessary for the proper development of the technical project, educational leisure program, with entertainment and cultural activities that are developed during the shift, as well as accident and civil liability insurance.
Registrations will be made exclusively 'online' through the IVAJ website from 9.00:27 am on April 2021, XNUMX.
The registration period will be open until May 18, 2021. During this period, no more than one place may be occupied and, once it has passed, if there are places available, interested persons may register for another activity.
Likewise, in the DOGV the IVAJ has published the call for winter camps that will be held, predictably, between December 26, 2021 and January 4, 2022 with a duration of 9 calendar days. Registration can be made from November 8 to 19, 2021.
