The Ministry of Education proposes to the educational community that on Wednesday, September 8, the 2021-2022 school year begins for students in Early Childhood Education, Primary, ESO, Baccalaureate, and Basic Professional Training and intermediate and higher vocational training cycles.
In this proposal, the classes for the 2021-2022 academic year will end on Friday, June 17, 2022 in ESO, Baccalaureate and FP and on Tuesday, June 21 in the case of Infant and Primary.
As for the calendar of the rest of the teachings, both the students of the basic qualification training programs as well as the second-chance Basic Vocational Training will begin classes on Wednesday, September 15. In the first case, they will finish the course on June 17 and in the second case, on Wednesday June 22.
In Adult Training, the beginning of the course is proposed on September 20 and the end on June 17. In sports and artistic education under a special regime, classes are proposed to begin on Wednesday, September 22, and end on June 16. Classes in the Official Language Schools will start on Monday, September 27 and end on Monday, June 27.
Holidays 2021-2022 course
The Christmas holidays for teachers and students are established from Thursday, December 23 to Friday, January 7, both inclusive; and those of Easter, from Thursday 14 to Monday 25 April, also both included.
The next academic year 2021-2022 will have these autonomous holidays: Tuesday October 12, Monday November 1, Monday 6 and Wednesday December 8, and also Friday June 24.
It must be borne in mind that this is the common school calendar for the entire territory in the autonomous sphere. From this point on, each municipality incorporates three local non-school days, as well as local holidays in the event that one or both of the days that correspond to each municipality are held on a school day.
Therefore, once the school calendar for the 2021-2022 academic year is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana, the municipal school councils (CEM), which are the highest participation body of the educational community of a municipality, or the town councils Regarding small towns that do not have CEM, they will finish defining the calendar with local holidays and non-school days in each town or city.
In addition, the CEMs can request a fourth non-school day of a recoverable nature, but in the latter case it is a modification of the school calendar that must be authorized by the general direction of Educational Centers. This recoverable day of classes, if requested, is usually established by extending the end of the course one more day or by shortening the Christmas or Easter holidays by one day.
