Agents of the National Police have dismantled a criminal organization that was allegedly dedicated to the importation of medicines from Portugal and Bulgaria for subsequent distribution in the eastern Spanish area and abroad. 33 people have been arrested in various parts of Mallorca, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Malaga, Granada, Segovia, Murcia and Alicante - a total of three in this province and one of them in Benissa - and eight entries and searches have been carried out. .
Most products were manufactured in a clandestine laboratory in Palma de Mallorca and distributed under the guise of a pharmaceutical company.
The investigation began after receiving information from the Bulgarian Attaché Office in Spain indicating that the shipment of anabolic medications destined for our country through a parcel company had been detected and that the majority were directed to an area of Valencia. Once the information was analyzed, signs were observed of the existence of a group of people who were purchasing products not only from Bulgaria but also from Portugal, exceeding 600 kilograms of products in just over a month and a half.
They distributed through gyms and nutrition stores
After carrying out numerous procedures, it was possible to verify that the epicenter of the organization was in Valencia and that the network had branches in Madrid, Castilla y León, Andalusia, Murcia and Catalonia,
where mainly people linked to bodybuilding redistributed illegal medications for which they had their own distribution platform, gyms and nutrition stores.
As the investigation progressed, it was observed that the Valencian group maintained frequent contact with two people located in Palma de Mallorca, who, in parallel, were also being investigated for the possibility that they had a clandestine laboratory for the manufacture of illegal medications. and its distribution, using the name of a pharmaceutical company. When they contacted representatives of the aforementioned company, they confirmed that they had suspicions that some of the medicines they distributed were being falsified, offering to collaborate with the investigators and indicating that the counterfeits they had detected were of high quality and that it was necessary to its specific material manufacturing and machinery.
As the investigation progressed and after carrying out surveillance in Palma de Mallorca, different places were confirmed where the laboratory could be located, so an operation was carried out to arrest the suspects.

Finally, a total of 33 arrests were carried out simultaneously in different parts of Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Málaga, Granada, Segovia, Murcia, Alicante and Mallorca.
