Communiqué from Compromís and PSPV Marina Alta: «The lliçó of the Marina Alta to the Minister of Health»

25 October 2023 - 18: 38

The Compromís and PSPV-PSOE formations of the Marina Alta have issued a joint statement to express their opinion on the visit of the Minister of Health, Marciano Gómez, to the Hospital de Dénia Marina Salut on Tuesday, October 24. As announced by the councilor, it was a working meeting with the commissioner of the Department, José Félix Quintero, and the manager of the regional health department, Pilar Navarro. This meeting was held just three days after the announcement made by the Department of Health about the reversal of the Department of Health of Dénia, which will go under direct management as of April 30.

In recent months, the Xarxa d'Alcadies of the Marina Alta has held various meetings to share the fight for reversion and to go all together, regardless of the political party to which each of the leaders belongs. However, once the reversal is announced, upon receipt of the counselor at the Dénia Hospital Mayors and representatives of the regional PP attended, despite not participating in the subsequent meeting.

This detail has not gone unnoticed in the political life of the Marina Alta, provoking reactions from Valencians and socialists who are also part of the region's town councils. Below you can read the full statement from Compromís and PSPV Marina Alta:

Independently of centuries of politics, with the well-being of the citizens of Marina Alta as a single objective and with the obvious failures of the service with the support of our demand, the mayors and mayors of this region, of the majority of the health workers and of the Veïns y veïnes, portem more than a decade lluitant to recover the public management model for the health department of Dénia.

A unanimous opinion that has finally agreed that the reversal process continues so that, finally, the fifteen years of segrest of our public health consented and agreed by the Popular Party ends.

And the response of the current Minister of Health, Marciano Gómez, to this great lack of coherence and unity that the region has given, has continued the disdain; At the end of visiting the Dénia Hospital there, just a few days after public announcement the decision was made to continue with the reversal, without convening, without even warning, the Mayor's Council or the Company Committee.

To the end of photographing at the gates of the hospital center the mayors and mayors of the PP, who have been invited to accompany him, fled on his first visit to the region.

After all, in one of the most vulnerable areas, such as health care, the progressive degradation of public health to which privatization has led; of complaints from staff for the continued violation of their labor rights; the growing unrest among the population; the manifestations; The motions approved unanimously by our adjustments…

After fifteen years of luita deserves protection for this region, Minister Marciano Gómez has learned that he only governs “per all seus”, when many “els seus” have voted abstaining or against motions in favor of the reversed.

However, in the Marina Alta, regardless of political centuries, public health will continue to be an inalienable right of our citizens that we will always prioritize.

  2. Carlos Gual says:

    Marina Alta Health Commissioner
Another puppet that reappears on the scene is JF Quintero (not John Fitzgerald, no, José Félix Quintero), a character worthy of a Marx Brothers comedy. He was already in the same position, with his PP colleagues previously. Instead of ensuring public health care, he seemed to work for the concessionaire company (I imagine he would be smeared). He is a medical inspector who what he knows how to do best is check workers who are on sick leave and their family doctors. And now he is once again Commissioner, a position that is useless, only the politicians in power want him to be a bureaucrat.
In short, what this Valencian Community has the most are mangantes, we could cover all of Europe with them.

  3. Luis says:

Does everyone know that for Radiotherapy treatments patients have to travel to a private clinic in Benidorm every day? The Denia Hospital should have these services too. But what the hell does it matter to them? In this case, appear in the photo when it suits you, period.

  4. Carlos Gual says:

The Danish politicians (PP, PSOE, COMPROMÍS) like their counterparts in Valencia continue to be useless. They still do not realize the damage that the inhabitants of the Marina Alta have endured for 15 years with healthcare privatized by the PP and consented to by the PSOE and COMPROMÍS. Furthermore, with the help of all the service heads of the Denia Hospital, who in exchange for a little more money have consented to true atrocities. For example, Patricia Martín Rico, an absolute despot, head of Internal Medicine, who has only sought the economic benefit of Marina Salud, caring very little about the health of the sick and her own colleagues.

  5. Fernando says:

They have not reversed it and now they are posturing. And what does it have to do with having the right to healthcare and that it comes from an institution of officials or workers and a private company as long as it is of quality and paid for with our taxes. Crappy socialism and monolingual communication for its people.

    • Pillar says:

I agree with you "EXCLUSIVE statement" (I speak and understand VALENCIAN", but that's how they portray themselves and you can see what they're up to, besides the tantrum. They only want "the posture" that you indicate.!! They are annoying!! Come to work

    • Luis says:

The problem comes when private management reduces the quality of service to increase its profits and the salaries of its middle and senior managers. Let's see, I know you know what happens, but I also know that you, like many, support corruption as long as it fills your pockets or gives you some type of personal benefits. Your seemingly innocent comment is not. When I talk about Corruption I include the PSOE – Compromís, PP… so that you don't come saying if I am from one party or another and blah, blah, blah….

  6. Luis says:

«…The privatization of healthcare in Spain was carried out mainly by the government of José María Aznar, who led the country between 1996 and 2004. During his mandate, measures were implemented that allowed the entry of private companies into the system health, which generated controversy and criticism from various sectors. However, it should be noted that the privatization of healthcare in Spain was not an exclusive process of a single person in charge, but rather has been the result of various political decisions over the years..."

The PSOE- Compromís the only thing they have done during all these years is keep quiet and put their hand out. Now the PP is once again looking for what is its own. What a deployment of troops.

  7. Benedict says:

    Esteu xalaes

  8. It says:

    Hahahaha
It seems to me that the ones who have taken the “lliçó” have been you and carried it well.
These types of statements and pamphlets only make you look ridiculous after doing nothing, they define you as an empty party and if you are a complement and puppet of a Catalan left that never looks out for the interests of the people.
    Shameful

    • Enrique says:

In general, everything private works much better than public for the simple fact that in the latter there is no control of effectiveness or efficiency despite the fact that the law contemplates this possibility that is never put into practice. However, private matters affect particular interests and without efficiency there is nothing to do and without efficiency there will be other better services and therefore the inefficient ones will disappear. We all pay for what is public, it is very expensive and in many cases ineffective but, like sheep, we look the other way and continue to spread the word that everything public is better when the opposite is true. I have worked 37 years in public administration.

      • Luis says:

A private company works "better" because if it does not invoice, it closes and everyone ends up unemployed, every worker considered unproductive is fired. The public company does not produce anything, does not invoice, they receive constant public money, it is maintained thanks to that and its workers (officials) can never be fired, in addition to being totally unproductive, they do not generate money. That is the difference. 37 years in the same Company is too long. Completely calcified.

      • barts people says:

You say "However, the private affects particular interests and without efficiency there is nothing to do and without efficiency there will be other better services and therefore the inefficient will disappear." I agree, but obviously, the health service is a "monopoly", the "client" cannot choose. So your reasoning is not valid.

  9. Ana says:

Do these compromisers really think they are capable of giving lessons to someone? Commitment, Monica Oltra? HELLO?

HAHAHAHA What a band, what they had to do is cover up their shame and dissolve this stinking and dirty party. A good listener few words. I do know what these Commitment people did in the past with Monica Oltra at the helm. For some reason they had to separate her, let's see when a statement.

    Greetings.
