This week work began on the renovation of the artificial turf of the Calp municipal soccer field. The company Urbanglobal 2018 SL is the company in charge of the works, the cost of which is 468.264,83 euros, of which 248.654,44 euros will be subsidized by the Diputación de Alicante.
In this way, the approximately 7.000 square meters of artificial grass on the soccer field, which was in poor condition, will be replaced. And in addition, it is planned to renew the drainage systems of these facilities.
The works have an execution period of two months and, meanwhile, Calpe CF, as well as the teams from the sports schools in the infant, cadet and youth categories, are carrying out training sessions and home matches in nearby municipalities like Benidorm or Benissa. The rest of the categories of the sports schools are using the 8-a-side football field located in the Esplai Park.
