History

According to the information collected by the Ondara City Council on its website, the House of Culture has its foundations in the vision of Josefa Gadea Iñareta, affectionately known as Mrs. Pepita. Together with her husband, Josep Sendra Ballester, she acquired the upper part of the building that overlooks the Plaza Mayor.

In 2000, the City Council decided to acquire this space, carrying out a reconstruction that maintained the original architectural essence while adapting to contemporary needs.
