The municipality of Calp is preparing to receive a large influx of visitors during the Holy Week festivities, which is why the City Council has announced a reinforced security plan. In a working meeting between Local Police commanders and the Councilor for Citizen Security, Guillermo Sendra, it was agreed to triple the number of police patrols that will be deployed on the streets of the municipality.
The main objective of this device is to ensure the tranquility and protection of both local citizens and tourists who choose Calp as a destination during these holidays. Between four and five police patrols are expected to visit the busiest points, especially the promenades and streets of the old town, where various activities will take place, such as traditional processions.
In addition to maintaining a constant presence in busy areas, local authorities have also announced a reinforcement of surveillance and the fight against street vending, which is usually concentrated on seafront promenades during these dates.
Guillermo Sendra, Councilor for Citizen Security, has expressed his gratitude and recognition to the Local Police agents for their involvement, commitment and professionalism in the face of this challenge. For his part, the Mayor of the Local Police, Juan Antonio Sánchez, has assured that everything is prepared so that both residents and visitors can enjoy the Easter holidays without any surprises or incidents.
