The Calp City Council has announced that the mobile ITV station that the municipality has had during 2021 will offer the service again continuously throughout 2022. The council has asked the concessionaire Applus Iteuve to continue carrying out the vehicle inspections, extending the service that it began to provide in 2021.
The company has agreed due to the good results that have been achieved this year. More than 1 vehicles from both the city of Penyal and nearby municipalities have passed through the Calp mobile station from January 11.000 to the end of November.
The mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, thanked the Zone Director Alejandro Pastor and the Station Director Jesús Hernández for their willingness to allow Calp to continue to have this service. Sala considers that this service “will allow to avoid displacements, which is especially appreciated in these times of pandemic ”.
The City Council of Calp requested to have a permanent ITV mobile station a year ago, taking advantage of the fact that the Generalitat Valenciana allowed to extend the period of permanence of mobile stations in the towns. Until that moment, Calp had an ITV mobile station for five months of the year distributed in three periods: in February, May and October.
In this way the region of The Marina Alta will continue to have two ITV stations: the permanent one, located in Ondara, and this mobile one in Calp.
