The Calp City Council has launched an online survey to find out the opinion and needs of citizens regarding public transport in the municipality. With the results of the survey, a project will be drawn up to improve the current public transport network. If the study yields positive results, the City Council contemplates the possibility of bidding for the management of a public transport service for the municipal area.
The mayor, Ana Sala, has pointed out that Calp is a municipality with a very dispersed municipal area, so it is important to know how citizens perceive the current public transport network in order to improve it. The survey, among other things, asks about trips made on the previous business day.
In addition, it also raises other probabilities of using a new urban public transport service if different circumstances occur. For example, that the stops were less than 100 meters from your residence and destination, that the interval between buses was 10 to 15 minutes or that there was free park and ride next to the main stops.
The company Think & Move is in charge of preparing the online questionnaire and the public transport service project for an amount of 19.965 euros with VAT included. The survey will be available at Calp Town Hall website and posters with a QR code will be placed at bus stops and on coaches to facilitate access to the survey.
