Following the guidelines of the Accessible Tourism Strategic Plan, the Calp Department of Tourism has published a new brochure accessible in PDF.
It is a general information brochure, designed for the use of all tourists. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it has been designed taking into account certain guidelines that make it easier for everyone to understand. With this, Calp intends to make its tourist offer more competitive and inclusive.
The use of straight fonts, large characters or the use of different colors to identify the text in a different language are some of the accessibility measures included. In addition, this document has been programmed so that blind people can navigate autonomously through the screen readers that mobile devices have.
On the other hand, an easy-to-read version of the same brochure has been produced to facilitate access to information for people with intellectual disabilities. Likewise, a new tourist map has been made following the universal design guidelines.
These actions are added to others developed such as the Calp Accessible Tourism Online Guide, a very useful resource in which people with disabilities can choose accommodation, restaurants or activities, with detailed accessibility information to organize their getaway or vacation in Calp.
