Benitatxell prepares the most charitable Donut Race

15 March 2023 - 16: 35

Poble Nou de Benitatxell moves for another year for equality. On Sunday, March 26, starting at 10:30 a.m. in the Plaza del Mercat, the III Cursa de la Dona will be held with the collaboration of the Club Multiesport Benitatxell. This year, emphasis has been placed on the solidarity component of the race, involving the Aprosdeco Association in its organization and dissemination, to which all the profits from the sale of numbers and shirts will go.

Aprosdeco is a non-profit association of mothers, fathers, relatives and tutors of people with intellectual functional diversity that since 1974 has been committed to innovating, promoting and making available to people with functional diversity all the resources and support to improve their quality of life. Poble Nou de Benitatxell maintains a close relationship with this association, of which several people from the municipality are users.

Registration for the race includes a bib number and a t-shirt. It costs 3 euros (although a higher donation can be made) and can be done until Wednesday, March 22 at Social Services (C/ Mercat, 2) in the morning or until Friday 24 at 12:00 at www.somesport .com. The numbers and t-shirts will be collected on the day of the race from 8:30 a.m. to 10.15:XNUMX a.m. in the Plaza del Mercat.

The boys and girls will come out first, and they will complete a specific 700-meter route. Then the adults will do it. Both walkers and runners will take a 4,4-kilometre urban route with an almost flat profile. Although the race is non-competitive, the organization has provided gifts for the first five people to cross the finish line and the first five local runners. At the end, there will be a raffle with gifts from the businesses and bars sponsoring the event.

"This event combines sport with other challenges such as promoting union and complicity between women and supporting associations that carry out important social work in the region and in our municipality", highlighted the Councilor for Equality and Gender Policies, Víctor Bisquert, who also wanted to thank the great involvement of the Multiesport Club in this activity.
