The Benitatxell City Council has enabled three new parking areas limited to commercial use on La Pau and Mayor streets. This measure aims to provide preferential parking for customers and thus encourage shopping in small shops in the urban center. At the same time, this area will facilitate the fencing and unloading of goods for small carriers.
In the words of the mayor, Miguel Ángel García, "With this we want to solve a historical problem of lack of rotation of vehicles in the old town and give a small push to local commerce, which is the engine of this town."
The zones are marked with yellow horizontal signs and vertical informative signs. The hours for commercial use parking are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 16:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. The rest of the time slots, Sundays and holidays are free for all residents. The maximum stop time is 20 minutes.
