The Department of Equality of the Benissa City Council has drawn up a full program of events on the occasion of the International Day Against Gender Violence. The activities will begin on November 6 from 11:00 a.m. at the municipal market with the distribution of the "balconies".
From the 8 to the 19 for November the exhibition can be found at the IES Josep Iborra "Don't touch me on whatsapp". On the 18th, the students of the Benissa institute will attend a training talk on municipal services for the care of victims of gender violence in the Cultural Hall.
El November 19, at 20:30 pm, will take place the theater "Dollhouse" by Melpómene Teatro with free access. To close the schedule, the Demonstration against gender violence on the 25th at 20.30 pm in Plaça Jaume I.
The delegate councilor, Lorena Ivars, highlighted the great work of all the people involved in the design of this program. "We are extremely satisfied with all the events planned and we met the objectives that we had set for this month," said Ivars. To which he added: "We once again show that Benissa is at the forefront in the battle against gender violence."
In addition, the council has wanted to rescue the 'Jo també actue' campaign in which 7 men from different economic and social groups of the municipality participated to continue to make visible the need for this fight to be shared among all people.
The initiative to establish the monthly programming has been launched in collaboration with the students of the Josep Iborra IES, the Valencian Youth Institute IVAJ and the Municipal Council of Equality.
