Ana Sala shows her "disappointment, disappointment and humiliation to the people of Calp" because the Generalitat does not meet the demand for a second Health Center

"Disappointment, disappointment and humiliation to the Calpinos", that is how forceful the mayor of Calp has been Ana Sala after learning that the municipality was not included in the Health Infrastructure Plan 2021-2023 presented last week by the Generalitat Valenciana.

During the visit that this morning has made to the Summer Clinic of the Playa de la Fossa, the mayor has expressed her discomfort over this decision. "Of the 658 million euros that the Ministry announced, there is not one euro for Calp". The municipality has been claiming for years the creation of a second health center since Calp only has one that was created for 9.000 users, while "currently we are 23.600 registered people, not counting the floating population that we became 40.000 and already in summer we reached 100.000 people ", highlighted Sala.

"Blaming the Marina Salud concessionaire is unfair"

The mayor considers that the municipality deserves a better sanitary service and has thanked Marina Salud and her manager, who was by her side while she made the statements, "the effort to have the necessary infrastructures and create the La Fossa clinic", although consider that it is not acceptable to have this office instead of a fixed one and with all the necessary tools.

"Blaming the concessionaire is unfair because the competences in matters of Health belong to the Conselleria and it cannot be that in the region only one health center is budgeted for Pedreguer and we who have been asking for it for years not to give us anything," he explained the first mayor.

Sala also mentioned the opposition, specifically the PSPV of whom he says "they turn a deaf ear and are on something else because they are not interested." On the other hand, he did acknowledge that Compromis is very vindictive with this issue. For the mayor, a new health center and a new institute are two essential infrastructures for Calp because the current ones are totally saturated.
