Nine gymnasts from Club Les Marines de Calp make history by qualifying for the Spanish championship

The Les Marines de Calp Gymnastics Club has achieved a historic milestone in its journey. Nine of her young gymnasts managed to qualify for the National Phase of the Spanish Championship that will take place in Pamplona after participating in the regional phase in Gandia last weekend.

All the Calpina participants managed to be among the 15 best of their corresponding categories, something that granted them the direct pass. Never before have so many gymnasts from CG Les Marines been able to qualify for a National in the same competition.

The regional classification day in Gandia began at nine in the morning with the performance of the youthful Tatiana Crimi. The veteran gymnast came out on the mat with the strength and grit that define her this season. She executed an almost perfect exercise, which gave her one of the places to be in her ninth national.

Next, it was the turn of the smallest of the competition, the prebenjamines Zaira Bessa and Paula García. The very high level in this category was not an impediment for the gymnasts from Calpe. Both dazzled the jury with their sympathy and good execution. Thus obtaining the pass to his first individual Spanish championship.

Interspersed with the prebenjamines, the 2012 juniors Sofía Bacanu and Paulina Koeberle came out on the mat, performing some magnificent exercises. Koberle had a small fall from the club that prevented her from climbing further in the standings, while Bacanu made all the attendees fall in love and her good work allowed her to touch the podium, being fourth in the autonomous community.

To end the morning session, Les Marines had the participation of the youngest Laia Martínez and Alessia Diaconescu. Alessia stood out for her art in the tapestry and the correct execution of her difficulties gave her the long-awaited pass to the national. For her part, Laia, performed a perfect exercise, staying very close to the medals.

In the early afternoon, Sanchía Roberts defended his ball exercise in the cadet category. Roberts performed an almost perfect exercise, showing great maturity on the mat. What earned her to be a worthy deserving of her pass to the national.

The last to go out on the mat was the 2013 juvenile Daniela Avellà. Once again the very young gymnast came out with the power and art that characterize her, performing a perfect exercise that earned her the long-awaited medal, regional bronze and her place for the final phase.

Thus, Les Marines ended an unforgettable competition, thanks to the great work of technicians, management and gymnasts and the support of their families. From the club they want to congratulate all of them and wish them the best of luck in Pamplona.
