The Muixeranga de Segarieta is born, the first children's group created in the region
After almost a year and a half since its constitution in September 2021, the Muixeranga de Segària opens a children's section of the group with which to unleash the many skills that its Xicalla has been acquiring over the months.
It is about the Muixeranga de Segarieta, the first children's necklace of muixeranga. A group that shows the great acceptance that the initiative has had in the region and the desire of the little ones to be part of this tradition. La Muixeranga de Segària has the advantage of hoarding a group of Xicalla very large, something that ensures the continuity over time of the cultural ensemble.
To whet your appetite, Segarieta's Muixeranga will premiere this coming weekend with two performances. The first will be in Sambori Award Gala 2023, on Friday, March 10 at 18:00 p.m. at the Ivars Workshop in Benissa. The second will take place on Saturday, March 11, within the Beniarbeig Spring Festival, at 13:30 p.m. in the Parc Fluvial.
“Boys and girls are highly motivated because they will act on their own without the help of adults. It is a very nice project for our little ones. It is exciting to see them in rehearsals with so much emotion and enjoying a fun and cultural activity where cohesion, camaraderie and self-confidence are worked on”, confesses Carles Serra, one of the members of the colla.
Not long ago, the young children's group made itself known at À Punt NTC where they showed their desire for the recently launched project. This week they are officially presented in the region and from the Muixeranga of Segària They transmit: «They and they are the key of culture and the future of our region, and this key must germinate estimating the values of the culture of our people».
