The Muixeranga de Segària mounts its hundredth figure in Beniarbeig together with the colla d'Alginet
Within the framework of the Fira Gastronòmica d'Associacions beniarbegina, the Muixeranga de Segària celebrated last weekend the I Trobada de Muixerangues a Beniarbeig. A more than special meeting, since the young colla of the region had recently celebrated a year since its foundation. For the occasion, they invited the Muixeranga d'Alginet to celebrate with them, in addition to having the company of residents and visitors from the municipality.
Plaça 9 d'Octubre in the town was the chosen setting, which welcomed some 500 people who gathered at 20:30 pm to enjoy the show within the fair organized by various local associations. The choir, the housewives, Junts per Beniarbeig, the festeros and some businesses collaborated with the Muixeranga de Segària to set up the celebration.
In this way, the first Trobada of the regional colla began in their own home, the town that welcomed them at the time of their foundation. A country of giants, accompanied by a three-legged pillar, were the figures chosen to form the catwalk that welcomed the colla d'Alginet. After that, the one in Segària mounted two simultaneous bells, one with all the Xicalla and another with the adult members.

But the key moment of the trobada came with the figure that the Muixeranga de Segària has decided to name as the auditorium. The young colla baptized it that way because it is the first one they put on at her debut in the Beniarbeig auditorium.
It was his figure number 100, a memorable event, carried out at home, with his people and a few meters from the place where they took their first steps. A celebration that well deserved a fireworks display to immortalize the moment in the memory.
For his part, Alginet mounted another figure of four, called the xiprer, very worked by the Valencian colla. Again, it was the turn of the Segària, with two simultaneous three heights, l'Alcoianet.
During the next round, the public was able to enjoy the Senia, a simultaneous figure between the two groups, of a three-tiered pillar, another of four heights from Alginet called l'Espígol and, finally, the two groups made a round of six mixed pillars. A perfect final touch to close the day of the I Trobada de Muixerangues in Beniarbeig.
The Muixeranga de Segària ends its first season
In this way, the Muixeranga of Segària, with a year of travel, closed the season with 20 performances and 103 figures. In addition, they have 52 people in the group, 16 of them boys and girls, making it one of the muixerangues in the Valencian territory with the most Xicalla.
From the group they assure that the new season that awaits them is loaded with interesting projects aimed at promoting culture, values, cooperation and trust, both with the youngest and the oldest. In short, with a regional cultural project to make the muixeranga known in every corner of the Marina Alta.
