The IES Teulada medium grade cycle of olive oils and wines presents its first wine tasting on Wednesday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. At that time there will be a tasting of the wines that the students have made. This event will be open to the public and, in it, the result of the student's learning of the cycle will be evident.
It should be noted that this cycle began in September, making the IES Teulada and the municipality a regional benchmark for activating the agricultural business sector. From the management, it has been proposed as a "strong bet", since both the innovative project and the students started from scratch.
Learning about raw materials, maintenance of machinery or the treatment of olive trees and grapes are some of the tasks that the students have carried out.
For their part, the students wanted to publicly thank "the numerous collective and individual collaborations and the support of the population." In addition, they wanted to show that the result of all their effort is "to be able to share the aromas and experiences that have been part of this adventure."
For this reason, from the IES Teulada, they want to encourage the public to participate in a project of great importance for both the center and its students. This is because it is the first time that an act of this type has been carried out, putting into practice the lessons learned in winemaking.
This project is an opportunity to professionalize students and turn them into future technicians. And in addition, it also represents an important contribution to the development of the agricultural sector in the territory.
