The independent production company Col lectiu Mirades, to which José Gayà (Pedreguer) belongs, director of the recently released documentary come from lluny, will be presenting another of his audiovisual creations today and tomorrow, The fils of the tauler, in Xàtiva and Llutxent.
The exhibition is part of the third edition of the 'València per la pau' project developed by the Fons Valencià per la Solidaritat. This entity works international cooperation in development at the local level in the Valencian Community through the area of education throughout the territory.
With the project itself, the Fons Valencià conveys to the various municipalities the reality that the world's poorest countries live day by day, the causes of their situation and, at the same time, makes known all the cooperation work that performed. For this reason, 'València per la pau''s main objective is to raise awareness and bring closer the culture of peace and the Sustainable Development Goals number 16 in terms of building peaceful, fair and inclusive societies wherever it goes.
To accomplish this task, the project Valencia for peace uses the pedreguerí documentary as a common thread for different activities. This week, in Xàtiva and Mutxamel, they will carry out the cineforum with which they will present the audiovisual and will feature the participation of two of the protagonists and refugees in the Valencian Community.
"Els fils del tauler" in education
The fils of the tauler is an investigative documentary that delves into the causes and consequences generated by armed conflicts. It is proposed as an allegation to the culture of peace and defense of human rights. In this way, it reviews the main armed conflicts and is complemented by the testimony of refugees fleeing from their countries at war.
With 'València per la pau', the exhibition of the work is transferred to educational centers as one more part of the project. This week Gayà has been presenting the audiovisual work at the IES Dr. Lluís Simarro in Xàtiva, expanding the project.
