Turisme allocates 6 million euros to tourist municipalities through the Municipal Cooperation Fund for Tourist Municipalities, among which are 3 municipalities of the Marina Alta.
In the Marina Alta, Calp will receive 164.886,42 euros, Xàbia, 153.508,17 euros and Dénia 139.155,71 euros. The reason why Calp will receive a figure much higher than those of Xàbia and Dénia is none other than the number of regulated accommodation places.
The Fund is endowed with 6 million euros from which 252 towns in the Community will benefit, as stated in the DOGV. The amounts will be paid to each beneficiary local entity in a single payment corresponding to 100% of the total amount.
The regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has indicated that "this will be the second year that this cooperation fund aimed at tourist municipalities is launched, which in 2020 already had a budget of 4,5 million and that on this occasion it has increased to 6 million ".
Each municipality receives a fixed amount that amounts to 6.745 euros, while the remaining amount will be distributed based on the total number of regulated accommodation places.
