The II Cursa de la Dona del Poble Nou de Benitatxell had previously undergone changes. At first, the race should have been held in March, but the terrible month of rain caused its postponement. Now, although it will continue to be held next Saturday, June 11, the athletics competition will not take place, but only the walk.
The reason for this cancellation is the low participation of child and adult runners, since they do not reach the minimum number of registrations. However, the deadline to sign up for the walk is Thursday at 20:00 p.m. Therefore, it is still possible to register through the following link.
Change of schedules
On the other hand, the forecast of high temperatures has forced the organization to also delay the schedules of the planned activities, which are as follows:
- 18:30 p.m.: Zumba to warm up
- 19:00 p.m.: Walk for all audiences
- 20:00 p.m.: Dance and stretching. Then, raffle of gifts from local collaborating businesses.
The distribution of numbers and shirts on the same Saturday will be from 16:00 p.m. to 18:00 p.m.
Despite the bad news, Poble Nou de Benitatxell will not miss the opportunity to celebrate its solidarity race in favor of the APROSDECO association. For this reason, fun will be guaranteed on Saturday with inflatables for the little ones and a snack for all attendees.
