This afternoon, a 90-year-old woman was about to choke while eating in a restaurant in Ondara. Luckily, one of the witnesses has been able to perform the Heimlich maneuver on him and has avoided a more tragic end.
At 16:20 p.m. the Emergency Information and Coordination Center was alerted and a SAMU unit was mobilized to go in search of the woman. However, until the arrival of the doctors, the man who has managed to save her has done so following the instructions of one of the coordinating doctors of the Center so that she could carry out the maneuver successfully.
Thanks to the activation of the telephone protocol and the collaboration of the man, the woman expelled the object that was choking her. Once in the place, the SAMU medical team has examined the woman and it has not been necessary to transfer her to any health center.
