Poble Nou de Benitatxell once again welcomes one of its best-known popular festivals, the Festes de la Rosa. A celebration long awaited by the town every year. The town meeting will take place from May 2 to 12, 2024 with the festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Rosa.
Event: Thursday May 2st
- 19: 00 hours: Holy Mass and then Triduum to the Virgin of the Rose.
Friday May 3
- 19: 00 hours: Holy Mass and then Triduum to the Virgin of the Rose.
Saturday May 4
- 11: 00 hours: Clean Olympics at the Santa María Magdalena School Sports Court sponsored by the Alicante Provincial Council.
- 11: 30 hours: Musical workshop for babies at the Municipal Library. Pre-registration library@elpoblenoudebenitatxell.com
- 12: 00 hours: General bell ringing.
- 18: 30 hours: Parade and collection of the festivities by the festivities, accompanied by the Sta. María Magdalena Music Group of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
- 19: 15 hours: Concentration in the Oratory of all the participants in the offering of flowers.
- 19: 30 hours: Holy Mass and then Triduum to the Virgin of the Rose.
- 19: 45 hours: Offering of flowers to the Virgin of the Rose, accompanied by the Llebetjà group and the Sta. María Magdalena Music Group of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. A display of traditional dances will be performed by the Grup de Danses Morro Falquí in the Placeta de l'Oratori before starting the parade and in the Plaza de la Iglesia before giving way to the offering.
- 00: 00 hours: Dance night on La Pau Street enlivened by the TITANIC orchestra.
Sunday May 5
- 08: 00 hours: Awakened by the festeros and festeras.
- 10: 30 hours: Collection of the festivities by the festivities accompanied by the Sta. María Magdalena Music Group of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
- 11: 00 hours: Departure of the blessed bread from the Oratory to the Church.
- 11: 30 hours: Holy Mass in honor of the Virgin of the Rose sung by the parish choir. At the end, the blessed bread will be distributed through the streets of the town. Accompanied by the Colla la Llebetjà and the Sta. María Magdalena Music Municipal Group of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
- 20: 00 hours: Solemn procession in honor of the Virgin of the Rose, San Pancracio Mártir and San Luis Gonzaga. At the end, a bouquet of fireworks will be fired at the Portalet.
- 00: 00 hours: Music in the festive house.
Monday May 6
- 08: 00 hours: Awakened by the festeros and festeras.
- 11: 00 hours: Playground on La Pau Street.
- 10: 30 hours: Picking up of the festeros by the festeras accompanied by the brass band.
- 11: 30 hours: Mass in honor of San Pancracio Martyr and at the end presentation of the mayors of San Pancracio on the balcony of the City Hall, where they will dictate the rules of costume.
- 13: 00 hours: Rooster races on La Pau Street.
- 14: 00 hours: Giant paella. It will be distributed at the tables on La Pau and Mayor streets. The City Council will make tables and chairs available while supplies last.
- 16: 00 hours: Performance by Toni Catalá on La Pau Street.
- 16: 30 hours: Afternoon of board games at the Social Center.
Tuesday May 7
- 19: 00 hours: Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres of the La Paloma livestock farm.
Wednesday May 8
- 19: 00 hours: Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres of the Hermandad livestock farm.
Event: Thursday May 9st
- 19: 00 hours: Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres of the Els Coves livestock farm.
Friday May 10
- 19: 00 hours: Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres of the Jesús Asensi livestock farm. Next, dinner will be offered at popular prices by the Peña Taurina.
- 00: 00 hours: Release of heifers at the Hermanos Cali ranch.
Saturday May 11
- 08: 00 hours: Awakened by the festeros and festeras.
- 10: 30 hours: Informal parade accompanied by brass bands.
- 12: 30 hours: Cucañas for the little ones on La Pau Street.
- 14: 00 hours: Paella competition on Calle Mayor and Pau with three prizes for the best paellas: the first of €100, the second of €75 and the third of €50.
- 17: 30 hours: Costume parade leaving from the festive center through the streets of the town. The best costumes will be awarded €100, €75 and €50.
- 18: 30 hours: Discommobile LA FIESTA 600 on La Pau Street.
- 19: 30 hours: The festivities will distribute sandwiches to all those who comply with the rules dictated by the mayor of San Pancracio.
Sunday May 12
- 12: 00 hours: Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres of the La Hermandad livestock farm. Next, food will be offered at popular prices by the Peña Taurina.
- 18: 30 hours: Release of heifers in the Plaza de les Pesqueres of the Benavent livestock farm.
