A 32-year-old man is seriously injured after colliding a van and a truck in Pego
Around 07:30 this morning, the Emergency Coordination Center received notice of a serious accident between a truck and a van on the CV-700, towards El Verger-Pego. Specifically, it has occurred in the middle of the entrance straight to the Pegolí municipality, which is still under construction.
The collision has caused polytraumatisms in one of the drivers, 32 years old, who has been attended by a SAMU unit. In addition, a medical helicopter and a Basic Life Support unit have also been mobilized. After performing various stabilization maneuvers, the young man has been transferred to Dénia Hospital where he is in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
One of the lanes of the road has been closed for some hours in the morning. The Civil Guard has attended the scene directing traffic until the vehicles have been removed from the area.
