The controversial escalators arrive for the historic center of Calp

As announced by the Calp City Council on May 3In order to improve accessibility to the streets of the old town of the municipality, an escalator will be installed on Calle Alcalde Vicente Pastor.
The first escalators that the municipality will have have arrived in Calp today to begin to be installed. It is a work co-financed by ERDF funds of the European Union within the EDUSI strategy 'Revitalize Calp'.
Some escalators that have caused some controversy among those who defend this measure to improve accessibility and those who consider that it is an attack against the historical and cultural heritage of the municipality.
