Crowded Gata de Gorgos lives again the magic and grandeur of the Misteri de Reis
Adults and children welcomed yesterday the arrival of Their Majesties the Three Kings of the East to Gata de Gorgos. An event shared throughout the country, but unique and essential in the municipality of Marina Alta. The Misteri de Reis is celebrated there, which constitutes almost an act of devotion to tradition and the grandeur of the show that hundreds of gaters and gateres prepare for a whole year.
This 2023, the Misteri was endorsed by the Generalitat as a festival of Autonomous Tourist Interest. And it did not disappoint. From the previous parade, to the organization and the characters in charge of giving life to the work. The Gata School Group was packed with residents who occupied the more than 1.000 chairs that were installed there to enjoy the show without restrictions.
The temperature and weather accompanied, allowing the public to enjoy the hours before the night of Three Kings. And acclaiming, once again, the great highlights and most admired by all: the arrival of his Majesties, the prophecy of the Sibyl that drives Herod mad and the final adoration with the stellar appearance of the angel on the zip line.
A whole tradition that came to the town at the end of the 60s and that is worth witnessing, at least once in a lifetime.
