New coronavirus infections in the Marina Alta drop by half

The incidence of the coronavirus is deflating in the Marina Alta, leaving behind the worst days of this sixth wave. It is still early to fire her, but the improvement in the situation is more than remarkable.

The region has added 128 new infections to Tuesday's update, which collects the data recorded since the previous Friday. This is half of the previous update, where 269 were added.

Active cases also drop, specifically 215 points, there are currently 710 people with coronavirus in the Marina Alta. Therefore, the incidence drops to 416,12 infections per 100.000 inhabitants.

The negative note re-emerges from the registry of deceased, where a new positive death in coronavirus is noted in the region. This has taken place in Xàbia, where 19 people have died with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

By municipalities, Dénia continues to be, by far, the one with the most new infections, with 51 positives in recent days. They are followed by Calp, with 16, Xàbia, with 13, and Pedreguer, with 11. Pego also adds 9 cases, Benissa 7, Teulada-Moraira 5, Benitatxell 4, Ondara, Gata and El Verger 3, Orba 2 and Vall de Gallinera 1 .
