Synopsis: We come from far away, as much as for more than 300 thousand years. We are indigenous, Phoenician, Greek, Iberian, Roman, Germanic, African, Castilian, Catalan, Majorcan and Valencian. Know where we come from to know where we are going.

'Venim de Lluny' is a documentary by the audiovisual cooperative Colectivo Miradas, directed by José Gayà and Pau Soler, which outlines a journey through the history of the region, going through the different cultures and civilizations that have inhabited these lands from prehistory to today: Paleolithic, Neolithic, Iberians, Rome, Al-Andalus, the conquest of Jaume I and the transition from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age, War of Succession, Chiefdom, Pansa and phylloxera, Industry, Republic, Civil War, Postwar, Migrations and Contemporary Times.

The documentary will premiere in Dénia next Sunday, May 1 at 19 p.m. at the Auditorium Theater of the Social Center, with free access.

To do this, Colectivo Miradas has compiled more than 60 interviews and conversations with different historians, archaeologists, writers, archivists, researchers, teachers, as well as first-person testimonies from inhabitants of the area.

The documentary's own soundtrack is also noteworthy. Its main theme, entitled Venim de Lluny and which has been composed by Miquel Pérez Perelló and performed by Pep Gimeno Butifarra and Carmen Paris, has its own video clip as a tribute to the historical events of the region and the generations that made them possible. .

The project, which began with the support received by the Salom Sabar Foundation through its Impulsa Cultura 2020 aid program, has the collaboration of the municipalities of Pedreguer, Dénia, Gata, Benissa, Orba, Els Poblets, Parcent, Teulada , Benitatxell, Ondara, Xaló, Verger and those grouped by the Mancomunitat de La Rectoria.

They have forgotten the Aragonese. What happens that they don't like them? Why do they never talk about the Aragonese? Where was he from and what was Jaime I?
